My Experiences in SIESCOMS

So...After a summer of torment, not knowing whether or not you've passed....joining a new college and paying 65+ grands, life was tensed.....But in retrospective, life couldnt be any better....for this is by far the best decision i ever made in my entire life....Joining SIESCOMS.....I had already heard a great deal about it, as my cousin sister had dome BMS from here... So the popularity and the crowd and the ambiance and the environment were all known to me before hand... i'm a bit shy, so i was s little afraid how i would bed-in with such hi-fi crowd!! Well, i'm happy to tell, that the crowd is awesome and is hi-fi, but they are wonderful bunch of people...We gelled together very quickly, quickly than i ever imagined!! I never really thought i'd be able to mingle with a few let alone almost my entire class!!! Whats more, i'm the Class Representative!! What an honour!!! I hope nad pray that these would be the best three years of my life!!

But what really stunned me, was the quality of the infrastructure and teh teaching faculty. Each class is rigged with 2 huge bluestar AC's and a projection for a presentaions and instant demonstrations of examples. The teaching stuff is highly experienced and has a lot of industry experience... the way they teach is also highly exhaustive, with the faculty not taking it for granted that some of the students are from IT or CS background.Plus we have state-of-the-art computer laboratories with ample space to fit in 60+ students and comfortably and full-fledged library with thousands of volumes on teh widest range of books, a great gymnasium with table tennis and carrom boards, a huge canteen with the most excellent food, and a heavenly premises with a lot of temples and a very famous 40 feet or so statue of Lord Hanuman, a dream for a back-yard with sun-kissing mountains and deep vallies, this sight is truly spectacular to watch....

With such a wonderful crowd, awesome facutly, top-notch facilities and infrastructure, i dont even feel like bunking lectures and going home, i attend all my lectures exceptions are there when i fall sick, but i when i did fall sick i was so bored of sitting at home, i was missing my college, that just speaks volume at the atmosphere the college creats, that "tigers den", the gymnasium, where we've played table tennis for hours on end, a fantastic library and most importantly the college itself, it has a certain air of greatness about itself..... is it the various temples within the premises, the lush green garden, or the valley like back-yard? whatevere it is, i cant seem to talk my eyes of it.... it seems to be drawing my closer to itself.....I thank the lord for giving my such a wonderful oppurtunity...I hope i utilize this oppurtuinty to the fullest.....

Dimming the Sun - The Effects of Global Dimming.....

We all have heard the term Global Warming and the effects it will have on the planet, we have also heard of the collective efforts of the worlds economies to reduce it, if not eradicate this problem.

Heres the definition of global warming according to wikipedia :

"Global warming is the increase in the average measured temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-twentieth century, and its projected continuation."

What this means is that the temperature of the atmosphere around us is steadily increasing and causing the earth to become warmer..

But heres the problem, according to recent studies conducted on "pan evaporation" in Australia, Russia, Germany, Israel and the Maldives, the amount of sun's rays reaching the earth as decreased by a drastic level i.e that there's a 22% reduction of the sun's rays reaching earth....

How this "pan evaporation" test works is simple, we fill a big pan with water and document the amount of water that has evaporated and how much temperature is needed to evaporate that amount of water....

What the scientists concluded was astounding, there was actually a "decrease" in the amount of evaporation taking place, now some you might think that thats just crazy, due to global warming there should be an "increase" in the amount of evaporation....

But thats not the case, the process of evaporation doesn't actually depend on the temperature, rather it depends on the sun, the humidity and the air ,so if the amount of evaporation has reduced then it is logical to believe that the amount of sun-rays reaching us has reduced too!

But this causes a paradox with the global warming phenomenon, heres what the scientists have found out......

Global warming is caused by the green-house gases that we release into the air when we drive a car, or because of a forest-fire. These green-house gases which include soot, ash and other particles is blocking the amount of heat that was supposed to escape the earth's atmosphere, in turn making the earth hotter, now these same particles are also affecting the clouds. Now clouds are formed when water-vapour condenses and sticks to naturally forming particles, but with the amount of artificial man-made particles increasing, the amount of clouds formed is more and they are denser, these man-made particles are smaller compared to the natural particles but they are huge in number, so in essence many smaller particles reflect more sunlight than few large particles, effectively making the clouds as huge mirrors in the sky......this effect is reducing the earth temperature significantly.....

So theres a kind of tug-of-war between global warming and global dimming.....

One pulling earth towards a hotter climate and the other pulling it to a cooler climate.....

So what this means is that the green-houses gases that we let out are giving a double-whammy..

The effects of global dimming are already felt, in the 1980's, Ethiopia was hit by one of the worst documented famine that affected more than 50 milllion people and stunned the world, now scientists are lead to believe that this was a direct effect of global dimming, due to pollution caused by the American and European countries the amount of particles in the air increased, in effect making the earth cooler and less water was evaporated, leading to less rain clouds, which drifted towards the south, and the life-giving rains of Ethiopia failed...

And scientists believe that this was just a preview of what could happen........

Imagine a similar situation here in Asia, with more than half the earth's population living here, the effects could be disastrous!!

Now scientists are believing, if such a phenomenon existed and was overlooked for so many years than most of today's global warming models are incorrect....

Now, global dimming is cooling the effect of global warming nearly by 50% percent, imagine what would happen if global warming won the tug-of-war, there could be a drastic temperature increase of nearly 10 degrees!! A similar kind of event took place under natural occurrences albeit about 50 million years ago!! So this was an extreme global warming, the big daddy of global warming!!!

So ironically, the pollutants that we emitted actually cooled the earth down enough to blind us from, what could be so deadly a global warming phenomenon, our children could be living in a world where the temperature could sour unto 10 degrees!!!

Scientist believe that after this decade if the global warming was not controlled and kept within 1 degree then we would be at a point-of-no-return, and the earth which was so hospitable would not so hospitable....

Further, with a stark rise in temperature, all the natural green-house gases that are stabilized deep within the oceanic floor would be destabilized and start bubbling out... there's more the 10 billion cubic tonnes of methane gases within the ocean, methane is 3 times more dangerous than carbon monoxide, leading to a further increase in the temperature, upto even 25 degrees. The diminished water vapor in the air could lead to entire rain-forests getting burned out, large scale soil erosion. With a steep temperature rise as this, most of the plant life would not able to withstand it, eventually dieing out.....

So it is upto us, to save out planet, it is upto us to present a better, greener world to our children, it is upto us, to decide the fate of our home......our earth

One Home.One Earth.

This is nuspeed cycling out......

adios and take good care of yourself our your environment....

Go green...

Scholastic Nostalgia........

Today i went to my once school to collect my passing certificate (:S i know, i know...)
I had gone at 9:00 as i remembered that my school office opened at about that time, but once i got there, i learnt that the secondary office ma'am had not yet come, so the receptionist told me to come back at 10:30 am. Dejected, i went about my other errands that i was supposed to complete and i made it just about 10:30 am, so i was allowed to go up....

As i started to ascend on the flight of stairs i was greeted by this massive message board which read "I am born for greater things...", flashes of my school days started to blink in my eyes, i was taken aback by this feeling! It was nothing i had ever felt before,i was surprised but delighted to be back, as i was going up , i remembered how we used to play "pakada-pakadi" during lunch break on that very stairs!!
I had a smile on my face!!!

As i made my way to the secondary office, i was greeted by Ranjan (that's right i still remembered his name!!) - our stud peon :P - He asked me what i wanted, reluctantly and with a innocent smile i said i wanted my passing certificate and said i was from the 2002/03 batch..... He looked at me said "Wait,I'll get the file!", in my mind i thought this was faar too easy....
He then brought a big file with text bearing "2002 - 2003", he asked my name and started searching, once he got the certificate he started counting something with his fingers, he said "You are soo late, u'll have to pay the late fee!", i thot "thats it, there's the catch...."
He said you'll have to give Rs 5000, i was like "whoa! whao! what!!" seeing my red face, he started bursting in the most sly laughter! I then realised he was playing tricks!!!
But he said "Because its you i'm leaving, i'll be taking late from your other friends!!"

Once that was over, i decided to take a quick tour of my school, and my my has it changed!!
And the ground looked soo footballable!! lol! Green grass just like a Wimbledon grass court!!!
Then a certain nostalgia feeling crept-in and i could feel my heart becoming heavy and my eyes becoming moist with tears... The feeling was too over-whelming and i had to sit down for a while at the church steps to gather myself....
After about 15 mins, i got up said a goobye and promised i'll vist more often and left, after a quick visit to our beautiful church!!

I realised how much i loved my school and ohh how i longed to be there, i'd give anything to be back in school!! :)

Ad majora Natus sum

A Series of Unfortunate Events......

Well this a little story of the various accidents/fractures/misadventures that i have endured/received in my 20 years on this once green earth.....So here it goes, i may not be able to jot down all that i have managed to endure but i'll try my best!

Disclaimer : The events transcribed here may or may not be in chronological order, more will be added so keep checking this particular post!! Rest assured that all the details are true and werent made up just to make an interesting read.....

Catastrophe #1

here i was, maybe 5/6 months old, sleeping like a baby (duh!!) in my imported cradle and boom there's a mouse on my face and it has bitten off what was then a chunk of my damned nose!!! And i was bleeding so profusely that my mom said, my head was looking like a REALLY ripe tomato!! I still bear the scar of that attack on me, really embarrassing :S and my mom proudly tells this story to all, so i decided I'll tell it too!!

Catastrophe #2

When i was really young, like 3/4 years, i used to live in a place called Thakurli, and there were railways tracks right behind our apartments, so this one day, i went on a little adventure on these railways tracks.....i walked for like 30 mins and i was really young and dumb, i feel unconscious on the damn tracks with a train careening towards me, then all i remember is that I'm sleeping in my room with a high fever, i dismissed this incident as a dream, but when i woke, i realized that this incident did happen....apparently an unknown man saw my lying on the tracks, saw the train coming towards me, he picked me up (read saved my life!!) and started to inquire our building watchman about me, he then handed me over to my mom, scolded my mom for not keeping an eye on this young child!! and left...i never got to see the man, nor speak to him.... and since that day i NEVER ventured on the railways tracks....God Bless that man!!

Catastrophe #3

This was one of the most catastrophic injuries that i have ever received till date.......I was like 7 or 8 and my family and me had gone for a wedding in dadar, and we had to cross two main-roads to get to the marriage hall which was located on the other side of the road and as curios and naughty i was, i wanted to get to dad who had already crossed the road and was waiting for us to cross, i let off my mom's hand and ran to cross the road, not realizing that the signal had turned green and a huge white Ambassador was hurtling towards me at high speed, before i could respond this car had hit me and i flew about 4/5 feet in the air and landed on the foot path, and that car had sped away thinking i was dead. Mom tells me that she too had thought i was dead and started crying and went numb for a few minutes, because my seemingly lifeless body wasn't moving, hearing all the commotion, all the wedding guests rushed out to see what had happened, the brides dad was feeling awful and was trying to console my mom, luckily and obviously, i was breathing and was taken to Sion hospital and after examination, the doctor said i had a major fracture to my right leg, just below the knee. So, my leg was all plastered up and i had to miss about 45/50 days of school for recuperation.....

To Be Coninued.....

My Size 13 Shoes.

No, its no typo, my shoe size is really 13!!
No wonder people say 13 is an unlucky number!! I cant seem to find a shoe that fits me...Not a single one!!
I have to search and search and search and then search a little more!!
And EVEN if i do find something, it will the most pathetic, bland looking shoes you'll ever have seen....
Seems like all the good stuff is limited upto size 11....... and that makes me MAD!!!! :x
I go to Nike, i go to Reebok, i go to Bata, i go to Puma, i go to Adidas and they say we "normally" don't have customers with size 13 shoes..... wrong answer coppertop, now I'd like to blow Ur brains out!!
I go to parel, i go to bandra, i go to juhu, i go to VT, heck i go to dadar and baam!! nothing!! i mean wtf!!!
What sins did i commit in my previous life!?! :S
I enter one of the local brands like Bata and when they measure my foot size , they look at me as if I'm a convicted criminal, its really incriminating, i feel as if i have commit the most horrific wretched crimes......
I enter one of those international "money-sucking-wallet-emptying"  brands and they say we'll have to specially make/order those shoes for you or make do with shoes a size smaller...... but they say that with a sly look in their face......
I really feel embarassed when there are dozens of people in the shop and the shout to each enquiring if they have "SIZE 13" shoes in storage.....i hate the feeling of dozens of eyes gazing at me or maybe they gaze at my foot?? hmmmmm??!.......
i already feel a little awkward with my unusal height, coupled with this gazing and its a recipe for emotional turmoil.....
Lastly , i would like to request/beg the shopes in mumbai to have a resonably large stock of "SIZE 13" shoes. coz sooner or later i'm going to come knocking at your doorsteps.....
Adios........
Chao and take care of yourself........
cyaaaaa........

Kings Of Europe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So it was here atlast, the UEFA Champions League Finals, in Moscow.
After all the agonizing time we had to wait for the biggest spectacle in Club Football, it was finally here, and how.
The footballers would have been forgiven, had they have gone in and played slowly and defensively...
But all credit to both sets of players and managers, for producing the amazing match that was the Champions League Finals.
Before the match had even begun, there was speculative talk about the pitch in the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, for the turf was "imported" from Slovakia specially for this match, it was laid a mere 20 or so days ago.
I'm no pitch expert but, the turf required a few more days of "bedding in" for many players were slipping all over the place, whatever the doubts about the pitch were, they were down played by both managers.
This was the biggest match for most of the players, with United having the experience of begin in the Final twice and winning them both, was this going to be a hat-trick for the Reds? Only time would tell.
As for Chelsea, what a marvellous feat, this was their first UEFA Champions League Final. If you think of it, they were under a different manager , when the tournament started. Full credit to Avram Grant for doing what the self proclaimed "Chosen One" ie., José Mourinho couldnt do, lead Chelsea into the Finals of the biggest club competition in the world.
The game started fairly openly, with both sets of players not begin afraid to attack. Most people thought Sir Alex, would go with either a 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 formation. Avram Grant made his strategies with these formations in mind. But Sir Alex, like he usually does, surprised all by bring out a regulation 4-4-2 formation with C.Ronaldo and Hargreaves as the wingers, Scholes and Carrick making up the central mid-field, and Tevez and Rooney as the 2 forwards.
The first half was all United's as they put togather one attack after another, breaking the Chelsea back four quite regularly, with their smooth and skillful passing.

At the 26th minute, United struck with the help of intricate pasing between Wes Brown and Paul Scholes, Brown then sent a delicious pass that hung in the air perfectly for C.Ronaldo who headed in a absoulte cracker of a goal to give United the lead. This was his first goal against Chelsea, and what a perfect occasion to get it!
Then United piled on the pressure with superb breaks that left Chelsea wide open. Chelsea could have easily gone down 3-0 within the opening 30 miutes, but for some fine saving by Petr Cech.
Then out of the blue, there came Essein of Chelsea and blasted a shot that took two deflections and sat perfectly for Frank Lampard, who scored a goal in the 45th minute, things werent helped by the fact the Edwin Van der Saar slipped while scurring for the ball.

The second half saw the revival of Chelsea who in the first half somehow could not get going but for the goal, they started to dominate possession with United being second best throughtout the second half. Then there was a lean spelling when neither team looked like scoring. At about the 76th minute, Didier Drogba let one fly, he had Van der Saar beat, but was denied by the wood work! The second half was nearing its end, with Extra Time seeming inevitable. In came Ryan Giggs, on for Wayne Rooney, his 769th appearence for United, a club record!!
This was the end of the Normal Time, after a short break, the extra time started with two halves of 15 minutes each. The result would be decided in this time or it would go down to Penalties!
Extra Time started and after a few minutes play United could have won it had Giggs connected well, from a superb run of Evra. Terry came to their rescue, again! Extra Time was ending thick and fast, then all of a sudden the Chelsea players surrounded the refree over a minisclue matter and this led to a small fight between Drogba and Vidic, Drogba seemingly having slapped Vidic right in front of the refree, it was a straight Red Card for Drogba, what a disgrace!!, it all was going well for 2 or so hours......In all this, extra time was nearing the end.

And when Penalties was inevitable, both managers made substituitions with the spot kicks in mind, Sir Alex bringing on Anderson.
The penalty was taken in front of the United side of the crowd, first chance fell to United and Tevez was up for the challenge sending Cech the wrong way, it was 1-0 for United. Up came Ballack for Chelsea he was too up for it, scoring even though Van der Saar went the right way. It was all square again with 1-1. Next up was Carrick he too scored again taking United into the lead 2-1. Out came Belletti again equallising 2-2. Then came Ronaldo, surely he would score, but guess what he didnt! Yes the man who scored 42 goals this season missed his penalty, surely he thought United would lose! Score remained at 2-2.

Then it was Lampard who smashed in the penalty, helping Chelsea take the lead for the first time. It was 2-3 for Chelsea.
Then came Hargreaves who scored a cracker taking United level to 3-3. Ashley Cole came out for Chelsea, he again scored taking the score to 4-3. Next came Nani, it was upto him, it was sudden death, if he missed the title would be Chelsea's, if he scored they still would be in it. With seemingly insurmountable pressure and United's final spot kick, scores he does. Score line again 4-4. Next came John Terry, captain of Chelsea, surely now, Chelsea would be crowned Champions..... Well fate had written a different story, one with a million twists. Terry calmly came in, took the penalty but during his run-up, he slipped and even though Van der Saar went the wrong way the ball hit the wood work and went out and United were saved!!!!!!!!! And the Chelsea contigent could not believe what just happened!!! Terry was still lying motionless on the ground.

Scoreline still remained at 4-4!!!!! United were given a life line, perhaps by the souls of the Busby Babes, this day marked the 50th Anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster.......
Next came in the 19 year old Anderson, who and never scored from normal play for United, he stepped up and smashed in the penalty with the scoreline now reading 5-4 in favour of United, now all the pressure shifted towards Chelsea. In came, Solomon Kalou and scored the penalty, score line now read 5-5. Next came in the veteran Giggs, with immense experience, he was the perfect man for the job, scoring a superb penalty. scoreline was now 6-5. Since this was sudden death, the first team that missed would hand over the title to their opponents.....
Up came Nicolas Anelka for Chelsea, he seemed calm enough to slot home a goal, but whats this??? Van der Saar has saved the penalty!!!!! He has won the Champions League for United!!!!!!!!!!
MANCHESTER UNITED ARE THE NEW EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What joy, what glory, what an achievement!!!!!!!!
And i Cried!!!!! I really really cried!!!!!!
The scenes after, were the one of pure joy for all things United, and complete despair for all things Chelsea............
And poor John Terry was inconsolable!!! I really felt for Terry, better luck mate........
This was United's third final and they won all of them.....So they DID pull of a hat-trick!!!!!!!

Scenes followed, that one would never forget, moments to savour for life!!!!
Well done lads, you deserve it...
United hadn't lost a single match before the finals and that recored remained intact!!!!
Really, they completely deserve this, all of the them..... The whole team, managers, couching staff, scouts and all associated with Manchester United!!!!!!!!!!!!
GLORY, GLORY MAN UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Campione Campione oye oye oye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a dream season, what a dream double, What a dream team!!!!!!
Well done boys and congratulations!!!!!!

Until next time this is nuspeed screaming my lungs out, cheering for man united........

Damn you Taxi's and Auto's!!!! grrrrrr! :-X

How many of u have literally found yourself begging for the damn taxis/auto with teary eyes?
I know most of you have experienced this a million times........
Today i had gone to Kanjurgmarg to my sister's place, we got down at the station and started to ask for auto rickshaw's to her aparment, and as if that area was taboo not a single "autowalla" was willing to ferry us to that destination, i was felling like i wanted to rip the head out of the next autowalla that said NO to us, i rly did!!!
And after about 20 mins of constant begging did we get a autowalla!!!
This was just one of the incidents that i have faced......
During one afternoon, i had to go to sion-koliwada for stitching my jeans (wat?? i cant afford Levi's et al [;)] )so i started at my house which is in matunga and i reached all the way upto king's circle, there one of the cabbie said "Koi sardar ko pucho, wo zaroor aayega", as if he was putting gasoline in my already burning rage, i lashed out at him, giving him a earful, i literally shouted on top of my voice that "if u dont want to come to the place i want to go, then bha***** take me to the place u effing want to go!!!" and i must add i had become as red as a tomato!!!! [:D]
Then one fine evening i was at wadala returning after an errand and i wanted to go to matunga, not a single effing cabbie obliged........not a single effeing cabbie!!! i was enraged, i was VERY VERY enraged, so i shouted at the next cabbie that "bhosa***** matunga tak chalke jaau kya??"
So i decided that from next time i am going to give my piece of mind to the third unlucky cabbie that denies me!!! and boy! how many cabbies had to feeling my wrath!!!

And what actually enraged me EVEN more is the fact that Cabbie/Rickwallas cant really say no to a passenger....
I had seen an advert on some news channel which said that "if a cabbie/rickwalla says no, we can complain to the RTO and have his license cancelled"

As per the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Act, Section 22 (d) 178 (3) (b), "Auto rickshaw driver Refusing to ply for hire" attracts a penalty of Rs. 100, and it goes up to Rs. 200 for a Taxi refusing to ply.

In simple terms, if an auto rickshaw or a taxi is plying on the road, with its meter UP showing "FOR HIRE", they will HAVE to go wherever the passenger wants to go, IRRESPECTIVE of the distance.

So,
We DO NOT need to ASK the Auto/Taxi driver whether he will take us to a particular destination. Instead simply hail an auto/cab and GET IN first and then tell the driver to take you to the desired destination.

The Driver cannot ask you to get down from his vehicle. He will have to ferry you to your destination.

If he tries to get physical, simply call up 100 from your cell phone and inform them about the location of the auto/cab and the Registration number.

If you have complaint against any Auto/Taxi driver who refused to ply to your destination, you can lodge a complain against him using the Mumbai Traffic Police Website:
http://trafficpolicemumbai.org/Complaint%20Form%20aginst%20ART.html

Or you can simply fax your complaint to 022-24927237,24924734,24925462

You can also email the Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) at jcptraffic@trafficpolicemumbai.org and jcptraffic@gmail.com

Here's what The Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Mr. Hemant Karkare had to say about auto/taxi drivers who refuse passengers :

"The city’s taxi drivers are duty-bound. They cannot refuse to take a passenger to a destination within the city limits, and can be penalized under the Motor Vehicles Act if they do so. When a driver refuses to comply, you must complain to a constable or at a police station. Make sure to note the taxi’s number. You can also complain via email or post. We verify the complaint and take appropriate action. The driver is asked to pay a fine of Rs100, or his license is taken away. Taxi drivers refuse to go to some places because they might not get return fare. Sometimes they have finished work and are on their way home. However, none of these reasons is acceptable."

—Hemant Karkare. Joint commissioner of police

SO, Don’t take it lying down, don’t take NO for an answer.. Show them that now you are empowered!!!
Let the auto/taxi drivers know that they cant take us for granted anymore.. Show them who's the BOSS !

until next time this is nuspeed thinking of profanity and slanf terminology for cabbies/rickwallas......
chaooo and Dont take NO for an answer.......
cyaaa........

My Home, My Life, My Hood

Matunga, Mumbai, India.......Thats where i've lived most of my highly imaginative and satisfactory life.......
Home, Sweet Home is a commonly used phrase around our once green planet.....
But when it comes to me, its bigger than that........
Its just not Home, Sweet Home for me.....its more like Home, Great Home, or Home, Amazing Home, or maybe even Home, Life Home............you know.....
Where ever i may roam, where ever i may have gone, where ever i may have lived....theres a huge void within me........
I don't know what it is....is it the soul of my home, the aura that surrounds it or the the spiritual presence it has in my heart......
I've realized it countless number of times, every time i have gone out for vacations, away from my home, theres a big emptiness that slowly, steadily and surely creeps in.......
Each passing minute, each passing hour, each passing day, in fact each passing instant only emboldens that feeling within me....its like every instant ignites an already burning desire to get back home.......back to where i love it the most, back to my roots, back to where i live.........
Every time i m away from my place of solace it only reminds me how much i love this place, how much i hate being away from it......
Its like god to me......provides shelter to me, keeps me safe.......helps me be comfortable and has no expectations..........
keeps me warm and cozy in winter, cools me down when me and the temperature flare up........ [:D], provides me cover when its raining cats and dogs........
In fact its hard to imagine a life without her.......by her i mean "The Mother, The Home".........
The entire time that i am away from her...it feels like a small piece of my soul is disintegrating from me, it hurts, its painful, but circumstances cant be avoided when u simply have to leave her albeit for a short while....in hindi we say "Dil par patthar rakhke" literally it translates to "by keeping a rock on our heart", but figuratively speaking it means "doing something so painful its hard to comprehend".......
Theres a feeling in my heart which cant be transliterated into words of this language anyway, that simply pushes me, commands me, hell even throws me into a spiral that makes me go back to my home.....
There an airy restlessness each passing day, which finally nears to the end of my emotional turmoil ie that nears the end of my so called "fun-filled" vacation.....
Its not fun filled without her, and it will never be.......
Each day that passes only reminds me how much i take her for granted, how i never think of pain that fills me when i am away from her.......
So each pain filled moment passes, transforming itself into "The Day", The Day when i head back to the place from where i had head to this place.........back home, back to my spiritual nirvana, back to my karma so to speak........
It heightens the reckless feeling in me, i cant sleep, i cant think rationally for a second, i cant wait to reach home.........
The day when i set out to go back home, i m like a kid thats lost, but knows wheres he's heading, he doesn't know how to go to the place he has his sights set to, but still sets out, challenges himself, overcomes those challenges and reaches to the "Final Destination" someway or the other.........
It doesnt matter how you reach teh place, only things that matters is that you've reached the place you love so much.......
And when, after a while, you reach to that place, theres a rush of blood to your brain and you begin to think rationally, you begin to see the colour in this world, your sights get focussed again after a time span of dazed vision.......
And you feel "Why on earth did i even leave this place??"
Thats exactly the reason that you leave this place in the first place.....
You leave this place to truly understand what you feel about it, how you'd survive without it.......
You leave this place so as to ask yourself, "Why on earth did i leave this place??".
When you are back home, your daily routine begins, as if nothing had happened, in fact you have been molded back together, you might not know it consciously but deep within you have been remade, remade by a force that is inexplicable, that is divine, and a force that you cannot live without............
In every sense of the word "Home, Sweet Home" sums up all the bitter sorrow that engulfes us when we are away from it and then when we come back, filles us with all the sweet happiness that not only negates all the sorrow but surpasses it.......
There no place on heaven or hell that would make me leave my home.........
Theres no better place i'd rather live in than my home.......
I Love You.........
I cant live without you...........

until next time, this is nuspeed adoring his so called "four walls"........
adios and take care of yaselves and your home.........
chaooooo........

Manchester United V/s Arsenal : Post Match thoughts

What a sensational match!!!!
Truly Epic...in every sense of the word!!!
One of the best matches I've seen this season.....
The first half was an open-ended affair...with arsenal having the better chances but poor finishes....
It was fast paced...with either sides breaking at lightning speeds!!
The second half began much like the first half ended...with fast pace....
and within 3 minutes of the restart Arsenal opened the scoring with a great ball from van Persie being converted into a goal by Adebayor, at first the ball seemed to be headed in from between Fredinand and van der Saar, but replays showed that Adebayor actually used a hand....will a hand at reds end to a hand at arsenal's end by Gallas within 6 minutes, led to United being awarded a penalty...i literally closed my eyes, muted the T.V, crossed my fingers, and told others to not tell me what had happened, i was trembling too :D ;)........ then when i opened my eyes, Ronaldo had scored but the ref denied it...i thought what the hell!!??...but to my relief he was allowed to take it again and i did the same thing again.....muted the TV and closed my eyes, and would you know it?? Ronaldo scored :D as if i didn't know that!! That was goal number 38 for Mr.Ronaldo, and arsenal lead was equalized......

Then, Ferguson made to changed bringing in Anderson and Tevez....
Both instantly impacted the game and brought a sense of speed to United play....
We won a free kick in a very good position, just enough for Ronaldo to bend it....
But whats this Hargreaves has placed the ball as if he's going to take it....i thought well it will be a near miss, but what a sensational goal!!!!!!
It was bent so much the Lehmann got fooled into thinking it would just miss the goal and he didn't even move!!!!
To be frank...the goal reminded me of David Backham's free-kicks!!
Bend it like Hargreaves!!!!

A great match for us to win, going behind, then equalizing and then ultimately winning the match!!!! Just the perfect result for us.....now we're off to Barcelona!!!!

Until that match this is nuspeed dribbling out............
Chaoo and take care.....

United V/s Roma : Review

Another good night at Old Trafford see us go past Roma and head into the Semi-Finals....against Barcelona....
It was a really good night mainly because we rested C.Ronaldo and Rooney (who was substituted later on), and finally after 13 painstaking months, Gary Neville is back, and every time he touched the ball the fans cheered, he wasn't playing in his natural full back position though, he was positioned as a defensive mid fielder, and Ferdinand played the full 90 minutes.......And we were able to rest C.Ronaldo for the next crucial Premier League tie against a deflated Arsenal after their departure at the hands of Liverpool...
We played really played fantastically, breaking at the speed of light, and getting behind Roma's defense regularly , Doni had to make 5 or 6 really good saves, to keep his team in the tie.....Even Roma had their chances....and what chances they had....

A not-penalty was awarded on a diving Manchini..... De Rossi - World Cup penalty scorer - was giving the ball, and what does he do?? He shoots High , Wide and Handsome!!! - Justice was served - Altho after that Roma seemed to step up the challenge...
But Hargreaves played some really juicy ball into the Roma area causing their defenders problems and ultimately, it was his inch-perfect pass that lead to Tevez's stooping header, and us qualifying on an aggregate of 3 - 0......
Next League match is against Arsenal, then we travel to Nou Camp to slug it out against Barcelona....
Good Luck Reds and welcome back Gary Neville!!!!

until the next match that Man United win, this is nuspeed signing out.....
Chaoo and take care.......

United V/s Middlesbrough : Review

Wow! What a scintilating football match!
This the most exciting match of Man Utd that i have watched in recent weeks....
There were a lot of Uh's and Ah's....i can assure of that....The way in which i celebrated when Rooney scored the 2nd goal was no less than that what Rooney and celebrate..if not greater....
We almost lost it though, thanks to that Brazilian - Alfonso Alves - whose 2 goals saw united loose the lead provided to us by who else, but C.Ronaldo in a little over 10 mins, then go behind, and then equalize thanks to Rooney's goal....
All the excitement of a typical season ending match....
Just when we that the final result was going to be inevitable...there's a twist....well it has been the flavour for this time of the season for couple of season's now, hasnt it??
Now, Chelsea are only 3 points adrift, and we still have to play them at Stamford Bridge!!!
I'd bet a fortune on that match being the title decider......If i had a fortune that is ;P ;) :D
And anyhow, thats why the Premier League is one of the toughest leagues in the world to play in.....you just cant predict the final score....
Boro are known for their their strenght and character in big games against big teams.....and that showed amply today....catching United off-gaurd on quite a few occasions..... (Vidic, Where are you??). Van der saar really saved us the blushes thanks to some world-class keeping, oh and Rio is injured too...lets hope that's not too serious.....
Well, It was a 1 point gained i'd say, since we were behind for quite some time....i hope it isn't that influential a result....
The next match is the return leg of the UEFA Champions League against Roma and then we host Arsenal, another huge match for us...

Until those matches, this is nuspeed signing out....
Chaoo and take excellent care......

"We have to go back!, Where?? Back to the Future!!!"

I was watching MAD on POGO the other night (what??) and the theme of the show was "The Future"......and the presenter said something really interesting.....She said..."Some Scientists believe that in the future time travel could be possible" then she want on to say "Well, then if thats the case...where are all the time travelers!?"
Interesting thought isn't it??
If you sit and think...isn't she right....if the 0-88MPH in 1.21 Gigawatts IS possible (:P thats what makes time travel possible according to Back to the Future's Doc Emmet Brown coupled with the "Flux Capacitor"...ok enough of BTTF Trivia...on with the story)...then wouldn't the people of the future want to come back to the past and check out their relatives...wouldn't they be curious of their ancestors and forefathers??
Take a good look around..... that curious looking grandma across the street could actually be a time traveler!!

Well, i can answer that question........sort of!
After hours of research and documentaries I have come to the following conclusion/s...this is what most scientists agree upon too...
IF...and thats a really BIG IF time travel is possible...Its highly improbable that we can go back into the past...
Thats because in the past there simple isn't any time-machine set-up for you to arrive to.....if its not there, it isn't working and if isn't working, u cant arrive at that time...its like your trying to go to a place in a train which has no tracks let alone a station!
You can only go back till the moment the time-machine actually exists....
and not before that...you can sure as hell go into the future...as the time-machine is still existing in the future....

E.g i can go into the future to see my great grand son and say "Hey Dude, I am your great grand father!", but he cant come back to the past and say "Hey Dude, I am your great grand son!" ;P

There are some radical tecniques to back in time but that would require us to do any/all of the following:
* Traveling faster than the speed of light.(Impossible...because the special theory of relativity doesn't permit us to go beyond the spped of light...correct me if i'm wrong)
* The use of cosmic strings and black holes.(Do it Yourself!)
* Wormholes and Alcubierre 'warp' drive.(Try it!!)

Here are some illustrations after a quick googling session....

Time travel hypothesis using cosmic strings:

Time travel hypothesis using wormholes:

The one thing that makes backwards time travel highly improbable is the "Grandfather Paradox"
This is what the paradox states:
Suppose a man traveled back in time and killed his biological grandfather before the latter met the traveller's grandmother. As a result, one of the traveller's parents (and by extension, the traveller himself) would never have been conceived. This would imply that he could not have travelled back in time after all, which in turn implies the grandfather would still be alive, and the traveller would have been conceived, allowing him to travel back in time and kill his grandfather. Thus each possibility seems to imply its own negation, a type of logical paradox.
What this means is that any interactions the traveler does with the environment around him will have serious repercussions on the whole space-time.

It's quite complex and otherworldly...isn't it? :D

Some scientists argue that travelling backwards in time might take one to a parallel universe whose history could begin to diverge from the traveler's original history after the moment the traveler arrived in the past.
So any alterations or changes made by the traveler would be in that alternate parallel universe and the original space-time continuum would be unchanged...
effectively countering the Grandfather paradox...

This is all relative to the fact that Time travel IS possible....If time travel ISN'T possible all this won't make any sense....

So the next time someone's late don't make fun of that person..they're actually on time according to their own frame of reference of relative time........

Think about it....

until the next time, this is nuspeed warping out.....
Chaoo and be good...

AS Roma V/s Man Utd : Review

Wonderful night at the Stadio Olimpico......a very clean and professional performance by the reds.....they defended really well...when Roma attacked and they did quite often....one was a very neat glancing header from Vucinic which was saved by Van der sar...what a world class save....

We come away with a huge 2 "AWAY" Goals Advantage which doubles the troubles for the Giallorossi in the return leg of the Quarter Final....

One of the goals was scored by non other than Cristiano Ronaldo....A superman like jump and a thumping header into the back of Roma's net...that makes him the highest goal scorer in the champions league too!!.....and demolishes any speculation that he goes missing against big teams....the other goal was a mistake by Doni - AS Roma Goal-Keeper - who went for a spectacular goal save and parried the ball into the feet of Wazza who wouldn't miss from like 3 yards out.......making the score line 0-2...
The 6000 or so away fans were treated to some good football..
And yes unlike last year there was no nonsense from either the police or the fans.....it all went very peacefully....thank goodness!! :)

Man Utd V/s Aston Villa - Post Match Thoughts....

Wow!!! What a display by our boys in such a heavy rain!!
It even rained goals!!! Tevez, Ronaldo and yeah...Rooney...yup the poor boys goal-draught has finally ended with a brace...he could actually have scored a fiver but that didnt take the sheen off of the brace scored by Roon...

And the First goal was ABSOLUTELY amazing a cheeky little backheel goal by who else?? Ronaldo.....that makes it 35 goals for the season :O o_O o_0......He just cant stop scoring at the moment..Plus with two assists also it was an all round display by him and all the other reds...we defended well, attacked well......in fact we didnt do a thing wrong..
It was one of the best displays by our lads this season....
And Chelsea and Arsenal had better watch out!!! ;)
Although, there is a bit of a concern as four players have picked slight injures...... three of whow -Michael Carrick, Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand- were substituted and Giggsy left the field with 5 mins to spare...
Lets hope they are back to top form and will play against the huge UEFA CL match against Roma....
Until the next match this is nuspeed signing out......
All the best to all and take care.......

bid adieu, S.I.W.S

:with teary eyes:
Today, was our farewell, from B.Sc(I.T), from S.I.W.S, from all my college buddies...
Well it was a very happy occasion...
We had a small programme, which was arranged by our beloved F.Y and the S.Y.....
I have to say we did enjoy a LOT!!
The programme had started at 3:00pm with small speeches from our princi (that's Principal btw...), and the Vice-Principal...The speeches were typically what you'd except from u every-day regular Principals and V-P... o_O (yawn)
Then we had distribution of memento's "ie" token of appreciation....followed by a very noisy game of "Full Housie" were the winner on first-come-first-serve basis was given chocolates...
After this, was when the real FUN started.......ie "DJ".... :D
Man we danced to the core........to the max :ouch my legs:...i did get a sprain while dancing but that's iight.
Well that was about 3 hours of non-stop dancing to various tunes......old and new.....
After the continuous barrage of funky-robotic-cheap-break dance steps we were treated to "Pav Bhaji"...an Indian delicacy...everybody's favorite...... :) and my favorite sweet-dish "Gulab Jamun"........
Then we had a hour of photo-sessions were we took almost 50+ photographs with all the students, different groups and of course our very own in-house football club group...i think ours were the most naughty photos with some really nice "artistically" planned photos....
Then it was time to go home......well you might think there would have been a few tears around......absolutely not!!
In fact we have to go to college for a whole week coz of Prelims and then the project presentation......then the Big One......Board Exams......
Plus we all have planned to go out on a trip to some place in the vacation and of course we are still going to continue playing football.......ah football the force that unites people....
Regardless of what some "People" might think we are a strong united bunch of students.
We :ie almost 25 "boys": would bunk the lectures for playing football....almost everyday.....Sweet times!!

Until the next blog.....this is nuspeed signing out....
Chaooooo and take good care of yaselves.......

United V/s Liverpool - Post match thoughts....

Well, then a huge win over rafa's men takes us five points clear of the closest rival...that Chelsea now btw....does that seem familiar in anyway...oh yes we saw that the whole of last year ;-)

Great win for the lads...it gives them a lot of breathing space.
Well.....the first goal was scored by a unlikely player...Wes Brown...well who cares as long as someone is scoring goals and we'r winning....
Ronaldo's second goal really give us relief and some freeness in play...
A rocket of a goal from Nani sealed it for us in the 81st minute...

So the next match is against Aston Villa...
They suffered a shock defeat at home from Sunderland...

Until that match this is nuspeed signing out..........

United V/s Bolton Wanderers - Post Match Review

So another victory...another precious 3 points and some breathing space at the top of table....
Another brace for C.Ronaldo and a surprise (not so much...) Captaincy for him....He lead the side with much enthusiasm and won the match comfortably..Not the Bolton didn't attack...they did but Tomas Kuszczak fantastically saved some great chances...
Oo la la...didja see the 25/30 yard freekick by Ronaldo his fifth of the season....
Awesome!!! o_O :O
And yes he beat George Best's record of 32 goals by a Reds Mid-Fielder....
Now the premier league records behold...Go Ronaldooooooo!!!!
Oh...I almost forgot...the next match is a big one...its a big weekend for all the top four teams in the table...Will this a title deciding week?? We'll have to wait and watch....

'CliffyB': 'Gears' movie still on track

The creator of the 2007 video game of the year is spending more time these days shooting down movie gossip than wily opponents on Xbox Live.

Slamming the lid on the rumours to the contrary, Clifford Bleszinski (alias ‘CliffyB’) wants fans to know that the ‘Gears of War’ movie is still alive and well. It is in the development phase and moving ahead on all fronts.

“We are currently at the point where we have had a couple drafts of the script and now we are talking to different directors and trying to feel out who would be the best fit for it,” Bleszinski told Cineplex Entertainment while he was in Toronto promoting the Windows PC release of ‘Gears of War’.

A multi award-winning ‘hide and seek’ first-person shooter, ‘Gears’ tells the story of a disgraced army officer leading a rag-tag brigade of soldiers in a perpetual war against invading aliens. According to Bleszinski, the game’s action film presentation immediately sparked thoughts of a big screen movie adaption.

“When we made the game, it was important to us to keep that breakneck pacing so we had that Jerry Bruckheimer – Michael Bay action movie experience going. That is where ‘Gears’ came from and that is why it resonated very well with people,” said Bleszinski.

While the project has no director attached to it at present, Stuart Beattie, the scribe behind ’30 Days Of Night’, ‘Collateral’ and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’, is working on the ‘Gears’ screenplay for New Line Cinema. Beattie, a fan of the game, landed the gig after messaging a New Line executive on Xbox Live one night.

“It has been a fascinating process. It has been one where Stu actually came to us as far as the fact that he loved the game and realized that he didn’t quite know how to put together a huge blockbuster,” recalled Bleszinski.

Donning the movie producer’s hat is a major shift for the video game guru at Epic Games. Thus far, he has been learning on the fly absorbing all that he can about the twists and turns of the movie-making business while at the same time bearing the burden that traditionally, movies based on video games don’t exactly have the best track record. There has been more misses than hits to be sure.

“It has been a really fascinating process to learn how Hollywood works,” said Bleszinski. “I just hope that whatever comes out of this is compelling entertainment and is very representative of the ‘Gears of War’ universe.”

Derby 0 - United 1 : Review

So it wasn't pretty...well that's the case for most of the matches this time of the itinerary...Just the 0-1 victory was enough for the red devils to regain the first place in the league table....
There were some hair-raising moments in the first half for both the teams..with united spurning many chances...including the one by C.Ronaldo which hit the wood(metal?)-work...plus two really fine saves by debutant (for united..) goal-keeper Ben Foster...especially the one-on-one with Miller...fine fine save...
He justified why he has a good reputation in england....
Resolute defending by Derby really frustrated the reds as we enjoyed most of the possession and attacked regularly...only lacking the end result i.e a goal...
Its times like these that your team looks for inspiration...and was provided by the man of the moment Cristiano Ronaldo....
Scoring in the 76th minute he did save us a lot of red-faces especially since they were the last placed team who recently felt the wrath of Chelsea....
Well beautiful or ugly ;)...a win is a win..3 points are 3 points...
Sleep well my fellow red-devils...
Good Night...
